The Transvaal Memorial prior to undergoing restoration in conjunction with the new Anglo-Boer
War Memorial Wall, between January 2002 and 30th May 2004
The laundry type tiles on the base and the concrete block which were
installed in 1987 were removed during the restoration. |

Anglo-Boer War Memorial Wall was completed in May 2004 and
opened by Major General Warren Glenny AO RFD ED Retd and dedicated on the
30th May 2004 it records the names of 275 volunteers from Maitland and 44
nearby towns |
